TopstepTrader Funded Trader Preparation Day 5
Hey Traders,
Today was Day 5 of my TopstepTrader Funded Trader Preparation, I traded live with a student today and we focused on watching Crude Oil Futures CL. The first hour of movement we found ourselves trading inside of a range until it had a small break out to the down side.
After losing my first 3 out of four trades and the winner being break even I was in the hole about -40 ticks. Stayed patient and spotted a short and had two nice winners, A total of 11 trades winning only 5 of them and coming out with 45 ticks net. ($450)
The winning percentage was 45% and that is when our risk/reward takes over and we can still profit in a sideways or choppy market. All you need is a few good trades with a min, 1/3 risk/reward. That’s what the Momentum Trading Strategy is all about.
I’m now approx. 100 ticks away to my target with 5 trading days left to complete and pass the 150k Combine and Funded Trader Preparation to get back in to the Live Funded account and team.
